Private beta
Beta terms of use
Draft template — not legal advice. This page must be completed by the operator (all [FILL IN] fields) and reviewed by a qualified professional beforeMerolio is offered to users. It does not by itself make the service legally compliant.
Effective date: 9 October 2026. Provider: Ario Niknirouie, Köpenicker Straße 43, 10179 Berlin (see Impressum). Contact: hello@merolio.com.
1. The beta
Merolio is an early, free, invitation-only private beta. Features may change, be interrupted or be removed. No payment is charged during the beta.
2. Your account
You must be at least 18 years old to use Merolio. Keep your login details confidential and use your own account. You can delete your account at any time (Profile → Delete account); see the privacy policy.
3. Your content
You keep all rights to the coursework and information you upload. You allow us to store and process it only to provide the service to you, including AI processing as described in the privacy policy. Only upload material you are entitled to use; remove confidential information, other people's personal data and third-party copyrighted material.
4. AI-generated drafts
Generated text is a draft based on the facts you confirm. Review it before use — you are responsible for what you put on your CV, LinkedIn profile or portfolio. Merolio labels the source of each claim but cannot guarantee correctness.
5. Publishing
Nothing is public unless you publish it. Before publishing, make sure your university's rules and any teammates permit it. You can unpublish at any time.
6. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to access other users' data, circumvent usage limits or security measures, upload malicious files, or use the service unlawfully. We may suspend accounts that do.
7. Feedback
If you send feedback, we may use it to improve Merolio without obligation to you.
8. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act. Because the beta is provided free of charge, we are otherwise not liable for slight negligence, to the extent permitted by law. Please keep your own copies of anything important — the beta may lose or change data.
9. Ending the beta
You can stop using the beta and delete your account at any time. We may end the beta, or replace it with a paid service, with at least 14 days' notice by email. We will not move you onto a paid plan without your explicit agreement. If the beta ends without a successor service, we delete your account and data.
10. Governing law
German law applies. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of the country where you habitually reside.
